Paint your lips black for me, darling, Those are the kind of kisses I want.
HAOU HAS TOO MUCH GODDAMN DETAIL.
Inspired by a scribble I saw in a p-chat log on... some Japanese fanart site, I forgot where. I eyeballed the pose, but changed some stuff, like the lighting and coloring and such.
I think the perspective on this is a little off... the mask is probably lop-sided if you look at it carefully and think about what it would look like if it was drawn over his face.
But meh, other than that... I think it's okay. I got lazy with erasing excess, as usual, but the darkness kind of covers it up, at least at 100% size. >>; (I bet if you zoom in, you can see the spots I got lazy, though.)
My mind is currently struggling to wrap itself around the sheer awesomeness that is this picture... and fails! XD
There's something about his pose that is utterly enthralling - perhaps the gloomy look on his face, the lopsided helmet or the burning intensity of that single eye.... I can't say for certain.
Ah, Haou-sama, how you succeed in being the smexiest thing on the planet even while brooding, I will never know! ^_^

Then it was a very fortunate accident, because the image is all the better due to it! XD
Indeed he is -- especially since he was the only character for which I've ever had a full-blown fangirl/fanboy fit. A testimony to his sheer greatness is the fact that he succeeded in getting a reaction out of me, while other bishounen-types (such as Sephiroth, for instance) left me completely nonplussed. Go figure! ^_^
